A Legacy of Family and Friendship

Born into a close-knit family, Audrey was a daughter, sister, aunt, and devoted wife to John Jevit. The couple shared a deep bond, reveling in their love for dogs, travel, and cherished moments with friends and family. They frequently visited her sister Eleanore in Lancaster and enjoyed shopping at various outlets in the Lancaster and Reading areas.

“All holidays were spent with the Maxwell family, particularly at Christmas and Easter in Plymouth, PA,” said a family member.

The Jevit household was known for its legendary parties, where John took on the role of grill master and Audrey showcased her culinary skills, particularly her cookies and side dishes. Their summer gatherings were particularly memorable, often culminating in competitive pool games in the basement.

    Adapting to Life After Loss

Following John’s passing, Audrey faced the challenges of adjusting to life alone, especially as she did not drive. However, she found solace in the support of her neighbors, her sister Eleanor’s children, and her late husband’s cousin. Despite the changes, Audrey maintained her passion for cooking, continuing to uphold family traditions, especially during the Christmas season.

    Reunited with Loved Ones

Audrey’s health declined following the loss of her great aunt in 2023 and her sister Eleanore in 2025, marking a poignant shift in her life. In her final days, she was comforted by the caring staff at the Hospice in the Lycoming Hospital System, finding peace in the reunion with her husband and loved ones.
